Your wedding day is a beautiful celebration of your love, and the beginning of a new life for both of you. As your photographer, my mission is to reliably and unobtrusively capture in photographs all the spontaneous joy, beauty, and emotion that you, your families, and your friends will share on this day. To do this, I use the latest digital technology which has many advantages over traditional film.

2007 was our busiest year yet! We photographed over 50 weddings in
Northern California, and as far away as Durango, Colorado.
Starting this year, I've upgraded my website to include a client access page where you can view your wedding photos online. Most weddings are now
available for viewing online within three days. You can also order prints by shopping cart directly from your web gallery. Be sure to let family and friends know about your online gallery, so they can order their own prints.

"My new husband and I were very happy with John
Birchard's photography services. He was able to
capture intimate photos of each part of our ceremony
with being at all invasive. He was very patient as we
coordinated with a large family to get the family
shots that we wanted. He grasped onto our excitement
when a loose pony galloped into the area were we were
taking the post ceremony photos (a real country
wedding!) and got shots of the pony and a wedding
guest with a rope getting ready to catch the pony. He
came up with ideas for romantic shots of the two of us
-- some on a rustic wooden bench in a garden and
others on the top of a tree stump with dramatic sunset
lit clouds in the background. He was also a very
comfortable presence as the bride and her attendants
were getting ready and spending some intimate time in
a water tower right before the ceremony.
