Elk, Point Arena, and Gualala wedding photography
These are the three main towns along the southern coast of Mendocino County. Elk, about a 30 minute drive from Mendocino Village, was once a thriving lumber milling town and port, but is now a favorite destination because of it's high cliffs and dramatic sea stacks. Several of the large houses built by the lumber barrons have been turned into bed and breakfast inn with some of the most dramatic ocean views on the coast. The Harbor House, The Elk Cove Inn, and The Greenwood Pier all offer wedding packages for medium sized groups.
Between Elk and Point Arena, the Inn at Victorian Gardens offers an intimate and unforgettable Mendocino County visitor experience. Another unique wedding venue on the Mendocino Coast is the Point Arena Lighthouse. There are also several vacation rental homes in the area that can accomodate weddings.
Gualala, the southernmost community in Mendocino County is on a remote stretch of the Mendocino and Sonoma Coasts that includes The Sea Ranch Lodge, Timber Cove Inn, and many small guest houses. The beautiful Mary, Star of the Sea Church and the Gualala Art Center host many weddings every year.
